Charger Plates ROYAL CROWN DERBY CTA009
Clearly these are "drop dead gorgeous" and will be the first thing that anyone will notice on your table or in your china display! From the Belle Epoque Era of gracious and opulent dining, these 12 porcelain dinner size plates are in mint condition. They look like they were only visually enjoyed and never used. They are marked 'Royal Crown Derby - England'. It is not common to be able to find, let alone acquire, a large number of matching porcelain dinner size plates of this maker and value, these days. New plates in this quality are priced to include the price of gold and the labor intensive, skilled, individual hand work that the decoration requires and can run US$1,500 or more each when "new". Our price tag is certainly much more 'wallet-friendly'. We would be delighted for them to find an appreciative home. Might be sold in a set of 6 pieces each. Diameter : 27cms. Condition: 1
Patine Curator's Note: This set belonged to a very fine private American estate once. The very tiny mark below the cartouche stands as the Royal Crown Derby year cypher and that translated, means the dishes were produced for Bailey B. & Biddle, Philiadelphia USA in 1921. They are really exquisite & in absolute
great condition.
